@ Vladimir,

You cannot compare Donna and Richard's dogs with the dogs that attacked those girls in Scotland. Nobody really and truly knows the circumstances, and it's not up to anyone else to judge. You sound really bitter...why??

We loved Azon so much that we decided to take Alice as well lol. She is a totally different dog to him, and you can tell the vast differences between the male and female CAO's. Azon is much more reserved and what I would call a "true" Ovcharka than Alice, who is extremely loving. Her tail never stops wagging and she loves to greet strangers and other dogs alike. Azon, on the other hand, is much more standoffish and will tend to "suss" them out before he makes a decision. There are times when he looks at Alice as if to say "what are you doing......"

Rich and Donna really are the best and I know they are always there for us if we need advice etc. They also have a wicked sense of humour ;) Will keep everyone updated :)

Hi,

I have a friend who lives in Hungary,he has a beautiful Ovcharka that is black and white and very furry.
He is a lovely friendly boy and he weighs 100 kilos.
He makes my friends Rottweiler look very small. He is younger than the Rotty but is very kind to it,although when he was about 8 months old be became the pack leader (the rotty is 5 years),he still sometimes lets the rotty eat from his bowl and acts in a respectful way to his elder.
In eastern europe they still remove the ears in the traditional manner which i guess is normal for them,so this lovely boy has no ears.
He lives in a tough neighborhood and guards the family premises from thieves. He lives in a kennel and apparently loves the snow.

I have, however, found a really nice fella with two calm, large Rotties that Azon is walking round the park with each night, and hopefully they will soon be friends.

As for Azon - wow what a boy. We feel privileged to have a dog of this magnitude, which he is already displaying at only 8 weeks. We have two kittens, a baby boy (5 months), a 5 year old girl and 11 year old boy and he has come in and taken it all in his stride, showing subtle variations in his play, excelling with the baby and is obviously a phenomenally well balanced dog. Having said that, there is a double edged sword..which is obvious when socialising. I am 100% confident in Azon that with consistent firm handling he will excel, but I have to say my main issue is not with him or my handling of him, but other people out there with their opinions and stereotypes, with their blase attitudes and BS.... to be continued

Firstly, we would like to thank Donna and Richard for allowing us the opportunity to incorporate such an amazing breed of dog into our family. It was obvious from the start that they have nothing but the greatest of regard and passion towards the CAO, nothing to do with money. The knowledge of 15 years research before starting says it all. Anybody wanting one of their CAO's for misguided opportunities, woe betide you, because you won't get one. Besides this, as a couple, they are as cool as their dogs are. They are ultra friendly, but as responsible breeders will not just let their dogs go to anyone. A big thank you to them for allowing us to have one.

@ alison

Thankyou for the comment. The Spanish Mastiff and the St Bernard with educated deduction both come from the CAO maybe thats why!?

The breed ban in Denmark to which you refer is not goin to happen in the UK! Unfortunately again people who dont know about dogs have identified what they deem as dangerous breeds and banned them without any thought to putting in place laws that its actually the owner thats at fault for an aggressive dog not the breed. BSL is written by people like this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1293889/Devil-dog-owned-senior-police-officer-savaged-terrier.html?ITO=1490
who dont actually practice or prove what they preach! DEED NOT BREED

cont. I can say from experience - its the always the owner! that influences the outcome not the dog. Its also interesting how your IP address originates from Newcastle-Tyne and Wear where someone else comes from that is lacking in knowledge and actual care and respect for the CAO. The sooner this person gets out of the breed and leaves it to the professionals and people with actual passion for the breed the better. We want to better breed not use it as a cash cow but maybe thats the problem here for you, "mes thinks" Go back to uncaring hole!!

@ vladimir ovilli If thats your real name?!! Your talking out of your ass again! "Deed not breed"

True dogmen know this. You get out what you put it in especially with the CAO! And it all starts with the breeder and then its down to the owner to continue with the 'right' upbringing and care. And having just produced a WORLD CLASS litter from putting everything into the pups which is something you can do when you only have ONE LITTER at a time!! And dont run 2 businesses for example and other litters on the go.

Thank you for connecting to me and introducing me to this magificent breed. I have a Black Russian Terrier and have rescued, who rescued my dad and is living a wonderful life in Australia and fostered one. I understand that in developing the BRT's Ovcharka's were also used. I now know why. I love your furry babies too! Beautiful.

Thank you for your answer about ears/tail ! Because, for example, in Germany people can't even go to dog shows with "croped" dogs. The biggest minus about exporting dog to UK is that they must be at leats half year old.

Its ok, you can put my link to your site if you want. Send me your baner and I'll post it on www.alabai.info too.

Hello Inga
yes you can breed from CAO's without tail/ears as they will be imported one's ,It is banned in the UK to crop and dock there for CAO's(and all dog breeds) born in the uk must have ears and tail if you crop or dock any dog in the UK now you can and will be sent to jail , you have lovely ovcharkas
do you mined if i put your website on my links page ?
